About Line

Training
After completing various yoga teacher trainings, Line discovered Somatic Experiencing® (SE), a powerful bottom-up approach that helps people living with chronic stress or trauma to regain their innate vitality and ability to cope with life’s challenges. After completing the 3-year SE program, Line continued her studies with Steven Terrell, taking his Transforming the Experience-Based Brain® training, a somatic model for developmental trauma aiming at repairing early ruptures and addressing primal reflexes. She also took various Somatic Skills trainings with Kathy Kain to facilitate trauma recovery, self-regulation skills and resilience in the body.
Line has been assisting at different SE trainings since 2018 and is now continuing her learning with Kathy Kain as an assistant. She is an approved provider of personal sessions and case consultations at all levels of the SE training.
Line uses various tools, including Somatic Experiencing®, Transformative Touch®, co-regulation through touch, movement, yoga and breath work, to help her clients explore the ways they hold their emotional experiences in their body. The goal is to engage, complete and resolve – in a slow and supported way – the body’s instinctual responses in order to move towards better nervous system regulation and access more vitality.
Her approach
Line helps her clients explore the body’s memory of a difficult event. Trauma is not so much about the event, but rather the physiological imprint the experience leaves in the body. The aim is to complete any thwarted survival mechanism, to free energy stuck in the body and thus allowing a reorganization of the nervous system and restoration of the capacity to self-regulate and the ability to more actively engage in life.
There is a wide range of traumas, including natural disasters, exposure to violence, accidents and falls, serious illness, sudden loss of a loved one, surgeries and medical or dental procedures, childhood neglect or abuse and difficult pregnancy and birth. Experiencing these events without adequate support can be extremely challenging and impact the sense of safety of a person, leaving them to feel vulnerable and helpless which often leads to a loss of connection to themselves and their environment. Line’s work aims to re-establish that sense of connection and to support and guide her clients through their journey towards wellness.
Line is bilingual and can offer sessions in French and English.
